xlabs (“xlabs”, “we”, “us”) is a venture builder and AI product studio based in South Africa. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit xlabs.co.za or get in touch with us. xlabs is the responsible party for the purposes of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

• Information you give us: your name, email address, company, and the details of your enquiry when you use a contact form, join a waitlist, take an assessment, or email us.
• Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referral source, collected automatically through analytics and cookies.
• AI chat and tool inputs:where the site offers an AI-powered feature, the text you submit to it. Please don’t enter sensitive personal information into these tools.

• To respond to enquiries and deliver the services you ask for.
• To manage waitlists and send updates you have requested.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.

We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. It sets cookies and collects usage information such as pages viewed and approximate location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out using Google’s browser add-on. Blocking cookies won’t stop you using the site.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, such as:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Email delivery and database providers (for forms and waitlists).
• Analytics providers (Google Analytics).
• AI model providers, where you use an AI feature on the site.

Some of these providers process data outside South Africa. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected to a standard comparable to POPIA. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires. Enquiry and waitlist details are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you and the Information Regulator where the law requires us to after a breach.

Under POPIA you may:

• ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it;
• ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate or no longer needed;
• object to our processing, or withdraw consent you have given; and
• lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.

Our site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
